Is it a HIPAA violation to use AI with patients?
Not by itself. The key is to keep marketing and intake surfaces separate from any system that stores patient health information, and to put a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) in place with any vendor that could touch that information. "HIPAA-conscious" means we design those boundaries in from the start: the public site and first-touch intake never collect clinical detail through unsecured channels, and anything that does is routed to a secure, BAA-covered system.
