Cookies Policy

Effective 2026-07-04 · Last updated 2026-07-04

Plain-English summary. We use a small set of cookies. Essential cookies always load because the site cannot function without them. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, PostHog) and marketing cookies only load if you actively opt in through our cookie banner. You can change your preferences any time by clicking .

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember information between page loads and between visits. Some are “essential” — the site cannot function without them (for example, holding your form data or remembering your consent choice). Others are optional and used for analytics, personalization, or marketing.

We also use similar technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage, pixels, and web beacons) that behave like cookies for the purpose of this policy. When we say “cookies,” we mean all of these.

2. Cookie categories we use

Essential · Always on

Required for the site to function. Includes your session cookie, cross-site-request-forgery (CSRF) tokens on form submissions, and the cookie that stores your consent choice so we do not ask again on every page. These cannot be turned off in our banner because the site cannot operate without them.

Analytics · Opt-in

Help us understand which pages perform, which tools get used, and where users get stuck. Currently: Google Analytics 4 and PostHog. Only load if you accept analytics cookies through the banner.

Marketing · Opt-in

Used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and, where enabled, to build audiences for retargeting. We do not currently run ad-pixel tracking on this site; this category is reserved for future use and disabled by default. Any future marketing cookies will only load if you opt in.

3. Specific cookies

Cookie Category Purpose Retention
ada_consent Essential Stores your cookie-consent choices so we do not re-prompt on every page. 12 months
PHPSESSID Essential Server-issued session identifier for form workflows and admin authentication. Session
_ga, _ga_<id> Analytics Google Analytics 4: distinguishes visitors and sessions for aggregate reporting. Up to 24 months
ph_<key>_posthog Analytics PostHog: identifies distinct users and feature-flag state for product analytics. 12 months
(none currently) Marketing Reserved for future ad-pixel tracking (Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, etc.). None active today.

4. Managing your preferences

You have three ways to control cookies:

  • Our cookie banner. The first time you visit, you can accept all, reject non-essential, or customize by category. Your choice persists for 12 months.
  • “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Reopen the banner at any time to change your choice. .
  • Your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

Blocking essential cookies through your browser may prevent parts of the site from working (for example, form submissions, admin login, or remembering your consent choice).

5. Third-party privacy policies

Some cookies are set by third parties. Each is governed by that party’s privacy policy:

6. “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When your browser sends a GPC header, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information under the CCPA and, where applicable, to withhold analytics and marketing consent. Because we do not sell or share personal information, the practical effect on this site is that analytics and marketing cookies remain off until you affirmatively opt in through the banner. The older “Do Not Track” browser signal is deprecated and not honored consistently across the industry; we rely on the banner and GPC instead.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Effective” and “Last updated” dates at the top of this page. If we add a new category of cookies (for example, marketing/ad pixels), the banner will re-prompt for consent.
