Recover lost leads

Missed-call text-back · Web chat widget

Every missed call becomes a text

A prospect calls your firm at 6:40 pm. Nobody answers. They do not leave a voicemail, and they do not call back. They call the next firm at 6:42. This is the smallest build we do and usually the one that pays for itself first, because it does not require new leads. It just stops losing the ones you already earned.

Missed-Call Text-Back & Web Chat

How it works

What happens in the sixty seconds after a missed call

Two mechanisms, both simple. The value is not in the technology, it is in the fact that the response is automatic and therefore never forgotten on a busy afternoon.

1

The call rings through your normal line

Nothing changes about how your phone works. We put a tracking layer in front of your existing number, or port it, so the system can see a call that ended without being answered. Your team keeps answering the way they always have.

2

An unanswered call triggers an SMS in seconds

The moment a call ends unanswered, an automatic text goes to that number: a short, human acknowledgement that you saw the call and an invitation to say what they need. No app, no callback request, just a thread the prospect can reply to from the phone already in their hand.

3

The reply lands with a person, not a void

Replies route to your team inbox and to the CRM as a real contact record. During staffed hours a human picks it up. After hours the AI intake agent can carry the thread, qualify, and book, so an 11 pm reply is not sitting untouched until morning.

4

The web chat widget feeds the same thread

A visitor who starts a chat on your site is asked for a mobile number early and then moved to SMS. This matters more than it sounds: a browser tab gets closed and the conversation dies, but a text thread survives. The prospect can leave your site and still be in a conversation with you.

5

Everything is bilingual from the first message

The auto-response detects or offers English and Spanish, and the thread continues in whichever the prospect uses. In South Florida a missed-call text in the wrong language is close to no text at all.

6

Every recovered lead enters the pipeline tagged

Recovered conversations are tagged by source so you can see, in the dashboard, exactly how many inquiries this single automation saved last month. It is the easiest return in the system to prove, which is why we usually turn it on first.

What you get

Everything included in this build

Built in your own accounts, under your own logins. You own the system, the data, and the phone numbers. We operate it.

Most engagements bundle this with 2 to 4 of the other sub-services rather than buying it alone.

  • Automatic SMS to every missed inbound call
  • Web chat widget on every page
  • Chat-to-SMS handoff so prospects keep the thread
  • Bilingual English and Spanish auto-responses
  • CRM integration so recovered leads enter the pipeline
  • Business-hours and after-hours message variants
  • Team inbox with assignment and read status
  • Opt-out handling on every outbound thread
  • Source tagging for recovered-lead reporting
  • Optional AI agent handoff outside staffed hours

By vertical

The same system, scoped to your rules

The mechanism is the same in every firm. What changes is the script, the disclosures, and what the system is allowed to say or store. That scoping happens before the build, not at review time.

Law firms

The urgent matter that will not call twice

Injury, arrest, and family crisis calls arrive at night and go to whoever answers. A text back within seconds keeps the thread alive until a human can take it. The message is deliberately plain: an acknowledgement and a question, never a promise about the case or the fee.

Message templates reviewed against Fla. Bar Rules 4-7.11 to 4-7.22, including the solicitation limits on contacting prospective clients.

Concierge and boutique medical

A patient who called after hours and got silence

The auto-response acknowledges and routes without ever inviting clinical detail over SMS. Where a message is urgent, it points to the correct channel rather than trying to handle it. The goal is continuity of contact, not triage by text.

Templates are written so no protected health information is solicited or transmitted by SMS. HIPAA boundary set at configuration.

Wealth and family offices

Discreet acknowledgement, no sales posture

A principal who called once will not chase. The text back is brief and formal, confirms the call was seen, and offers a scheduled time. It says nothing about markets, returns, or strategy, which is exactly what makes it usable in this vertical.

No performance or advice language in any template. SEC Marketing Rule 206(4)-1 governs the copy.

Luxury real estate

The after-hours listing inquiry

Buyers browse at night and from other time zones, and the first response usually wins the showing. The text back references the property they called about and offers times, in English or Spanish, while the interest is still live.

Copy stays inside fair housing lines. No language about neighborhood demographics or buyer suitability.

Aday Interactive, Inc. also builds this for accounting and CPA firms, consulting and advisory practices, architecture and design studios, marketing agencies, hospitality groups, multi-location and franchise operators, e-commerce brands, and B2B SaaS teams. See all industries.

What this does not do

This recovers inquiries, it does not generate them. If your phone is not ringing, text-back has nothing to catch and the honest recommendation is to fix demand or visibility first. It also will not rescue a slow human follow-up: the automatic text buys you a live thread, but if nobody works that thread the lead still dies, just later. And it cannot text a landline or a blocked number, so a small share of missed calls stay unreachable.

FAQ

Missed-Call Text-Back & Web Chat, FAQ

Is an automatic text to someone who called me legal?

Responding to a person who just called you is a different posture from cold outreach, but it is still governed. Every thread carries opt-out handling, sending respects quiet hours, and templates are written to the TCPA and to Florida's FTSA. In law and medical the templates get an extra compliance pass before launch.

Will it text people who call by mistake?

Some, yes. A wrong number that rings through unanswered gets the same acknowledgement. The message is short and carries an opt-out, so the cost of that is low and the alternative, filtering by guesswork, would drop real prospects.

Do I need to change my phone number?

Usually no. We put a tracking layer in front of your existing number so it rings exactly as it does today. Porting the number to the platform is an option if you want deeper call routing, but it is a choice, not a requirement.

What does the text actually say?

You approve it before launch. The pattern that works is short and human: acknowledge the missed call, name the firm, ask what they need. Anything longer reads as marketing and gets ignored. We never ship a template you have not read.

How is this different from an answering service?

An answering service takes a message and hands you a callback task, which recreates the delay. Text-back opens a thread the prospect controls, on the channel they already prefer, and with AI intake behind it the thread can qualify and book without waiting for morning.

Why does chat hand off to SMS instead of staying on the site?

Because a browser tab is temporary and a text thread is not. Visitors close the tab, the conversation ends, and you have nothing. Once it is SMS you have a contact and a channel that survives them leaving your site.

How quickly does this pay for itself?

It is the fastest return in the system for most firms, because it works on inquiries you already earned rather than new ones. We do not publish a multiplier, because the honest number depends entirely on your call volume and the value of one signed client. Pull last month's unanswered calls and price one matter, and you will have your own answer in two minutes.

Can I turn it off during business hours?

Yes. Many firms run it after hours and on weekends only, at least at first. The schedule is yours, and the message can differ by time of day so the after-hours version sets a realistic expectation about when a human will reply.

Does it work if I already have a chat widget?

We usually replace it. Most site widgets deflect to an FAQ or a form rather than opening a real conversation, and they do nothing about the phone, which is where high-intent inquiries in professional services still arrive. See the seven intake mistakes for what to look for.

Is this worth buying on its own?

It is the one sub-service that genuinely stands alone, because recovering a lost call has value even with no other automation. That said, it works far better with a CRM behind it, so the recovered lead lands somewhere instead of in a phone.
