Fast ROI

List revival · Dormant-client re-engagement

Revenue from systems you already paid for

Most firms are sitting on a list they have never worked. Leads that went cold two years ago, clients who have not booked in eighteen months, prospects who started intake and drifted. You already paid to acquire every one of them. Reactivation is the one build that can produce revenue in the first thirty days, because it does not depend on new demand.

Database Reactivation Campaigns

How it works

How a cold list becomes booked work

This is the sub-service with the most potential to go wrong, because the same mechanism that produces fast revenue can also produce a compliance problem or a spam complaint. Sequencing and consent discipline are most of the job.

Winding path marked with pins leading past a folder and a notebook to a laptop, showing dormant contacts traced back into the pipeline
1

The list is audited before anything is sent

We check what you actually have: where each contact came from, whether there is a lawful basis to message them, how old the consent is, and whether anyone has opted out. Contacts that fail this check are excluded. This step is unglamorous and it is the reason the campaign does not become a problem.

2

Segmentation by recency and behavior

A lead who inquired last quarter and a client from four years ago need different messages. We split by how recently they engaged, how far they got, and what they wanted. A single blast to everyone is what makes reactivation feel like spam to the recipient.

3

The offer is engineered before the copy is written

The reason most reactivation fails is that the message is "checking in," which gives the reader nothing to respond to. There has to be a reason to reply now: a specific change at the firm, a genuine deadline, a new service that fits what they originally wanted.

4

Multi-touch across email and SMS, at a human pace

A short sequence over a few weeks, not a barrage over a few days. Every message carries an opt-out, sending respects quiet hours, and the sequence stops the instant someone replies so a human can take over a live conversation.

5

Replies route to people, not into a queue

A reactivated contact is a warm inbound lead and should be treated like one. Replies create a task for a named owner and enter the pipeline tagged as reactivation, so they are worked and so the return is measurable.

6

The list gets cleaner on the way through

Bounces, opt-outs, and dead numbers are recorded rather than retried. A campaign that produces revenue and also leaves you with an accurate database is worth more than one that produces slightly more revenue and burns the list.

By vertical

The same system, scoped to your rules

The mechanism is the same in every firm. What changes is the script, the disclosures, and what the system is allowed to say or store. That scoping happens before the build, not at review time.

Law firms

Past clients and the consults that never retained

A former client with a new matter is the highest-quality lead a firm can get, and most firms never contact them again. Messaging to former clients is materially different from messaging a stranger, and the sequence is built to respect that difference rather than blur it.

Scoped against Fla. Bar Rule 4-7.18 on direct contact with prospective clients, including the limits on solicitation and the required labeling of written communications.

Concierge and boutique medical

Patients who lapsed without deciding to leave

Most lapsed patients did not choose another practice, they simply never rebooked. Recall and reactivation messaging stays administrative: it references scheduling and membership, never a condition, a treatment, or anything that would reveal a care relationship to someone reading over a shoulder.

Messages contain no protected health information. HIPAA governs what may be sent by SMS or email, and marketing-versus-treatment communication is scoped before launch.

Wealth and family offices

Long cycles, quiet re-entry

A prospect who passed two years ago may be in a completely different position after a liquidity event. Re-engagement here is slow and personal: a relevant note, not a campaign, often sent from an advisor rather than the firm, with automation handling the timing rather than the voice.

No performance claims, no recommendations, and disclosure requirements under SEC Marketing Rule 206(4)-1 and FINRA 2210 applied to every template.

Luxury real estate

Past buyers, old inquiries, and expired interest

Buyers who inquired on a listing that sold, sellers whose listing expired, and past clients approaching a typical move window are three distinct segments with three distinct messages. Market-update formats work here better than a direct ask, because they give a reason to reply without pressure.

Segmentation and copy stay inside fair housing lines. No targeting or language touching a protected class.

Aday Interactive, Inc. also builds this for accounting and CPA firms, consulting and advisory practices, architecture and design studios, marketing agencies, hospitality groups, multi-location and franchise operators, e-commerce brands, and B2B SaaS teams. See all industries.

What this does not do

Reactivation is a one-time unlock, not a channel. The first campaign against an unworked list is usually the largest return in the engagement, and the second is much smaller, because the list is finite. Anyone selling it as a recurring revenue engine is overstating it. It also cannot be run against a list you do not have consent to message, and we will exclude contacts rather than take that risk on your behalf. If your database is small or already worked, we will tell you this is the wrong build and point you at demand generation instead.

FAQ

Database Reactivation Campaigns, FAQ

Is it legal to message people who have not heard from us in two years?

It depends on how you obtained them and what you are sending. Email under CAN-SPAM is permissive if you honor opt-outs and identify yourself. SMS is much stricter: the TCPA and Florida's FTSA govern it, and prior express consent matters. That is why the consent audit happens before a single message goes out, and why some contacts get excluded.

Will this damage our domain or our sender reputation?

It can, if done badly. Blasting a large cold list is exactly how a domain gets flagged. We warm up sending volume, segment so the earliest sends go to the most recently engaged contacts, and monitor bounce and complaint rates as we go, pausing rather than pushing through a bad signal.

How fast does it produce revenue?

It is typically the fastest item in a 90-day build, often producing booked work inside the first thirty days, because there is no lead-acquisition lag. We do not publish a multiplier, because the real number depends entirely on list size, list age, and the value of your average engagement.

What if our database is a mess?

That is the normal starting condition. Part of the work is consolidating what is in the old CRM, the spreadsheets, and the email exports into one place, deduping it, and recording what can and cannot be messaged. The cleanup has value even before the campaign runs.

Will this annoy our past clients?

It can if the message is generic. A past client who gets "just checking in" from a firm they have not heard from in two years reads it as a mailing list. A past client who gets a specific, relevant note usually does not mind at all. That is why offer engineering comes before copy.

Do you use AI to personalize the messages?

Yes, from fields already in your CRM: matter type, service, location, how they first came in. What we do not do is invent detail about a person to make a message feel personal. In regulated verticals a fabricated reference is a real problem, not a growth tactic.

What happens when someone replies?

The sequence stops immediately and the reply routes to a named owner as a task. A reactivated contact is a warm inbound lead, and handing it to automation at that point would waste the only thing the campaign was for.

Can we run this ourselves after you set it up?

Yes, and you own it either way. The sequences, segments, and suppression lists live in your accounts. Most firms have us run the first campaign, then keep the recurring win-back running themselves.

Should we do this before or after fixing intake?

After, or at the same time. Reactivation drives inbound replies and calls, and if intake is leaking, you will generate interest and then lose it. That is why the diagnostic looks at all six pillars before recommending an order. Run the $14.97 AIGS Diagnostic to see yours.

How do we know the revenue came from this and not something else?

Every reactivated contact is tagged at entry, so booked work traces back to the campaign in the dashboard. Attribution is the reason we tag at the moment of entry rather than trying to reconstruct it later.
