Seven areas, each scored Low, Medium, or High gap. Entity clarity: does the firm's legal name appear in all five surfaces AI engines check (title, og:site_name, og:title, meta description, and the JSON-LD schema name field)? Schema coverage: are Organization, LocalBusiness, Person, FAQPage, and vertical-specific types (LegalService, Physician, FinancialService, RealEstateAgent) present and complete? FAQ content depth: are there 15 or more question-and-answer entries written at the specificity level AI engines extract from? Editorial authority: bylined content and directory profiles. Citation footprint: does the firm appear when AI engines are asked for recommendations in its category? Internal linking: hub-and-spoke structure. Vertical-specific signals: schema and content calibrated to the firm's profession and regulatory context.
The free preview delivers your overall score and the gap rating (Low, Medium, or High) for each of the seven areas, immediately by email. The $14.97 full report adds: deep written findings per area with specific examples from your site, a complete schema blueprint (Organization + LocalBusiness + Person + FAQPage + vertical type) as JSON-LD ready to paste, 8 to 12 FAQPage question-and-answer pairs written for your vertical at the specificity level AI engines extract from, and a 90-day remediation roadmap sequenced by expected score impact. The $14.97 unlock also includes a 15-minute findings call with Brandon.
The 0 to 100 score is a deterministic weighted sum. Each area carries a fixed weight (Entity Clarity: 18, Schema Coverage: 18, Editorial Authority: 16, FAQ Content: 14, Vertical-Specific Signals: 12, Citation Footprint: 12, Internal Linking: 10). A Low gap multiplies that area's weight by 0.92; Medium by 0.62; High by 0.18. The score is computed on the server from the gap calls, not estimated by an AI, so the same inputs always produce the same output. The AI generates the written findings; the number comes from the formula.
Invisible (0 to 30): the firm does not reliably appear in AI answers for category queries, even when someone asks for firms in its exact specialty and city. Emerging (31 to 55): some signals are present but schema gaps, missing FAQ content, or entity inconsistency limit citation to firm-name queries only. Discoverable (56 to 80): solid on-page foundation; offline editorial authority and citation footprint are the remaining gaps. AI-Native (81 to 100): consistently cited across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews for competitive category queries, not just firm-name lookups.
The audit checks the on-page signals those engines use to decide who to cite: entity clarity, schema coverage, and FAQ content. Measuring actual citation frequency requires running live prompts against each engine and recording the outputs. The $14.97 full report includes the seven prompt templates we use for monthly citation tracking, so you can run them yourself immediately after the audit and see where your firm appears today. The GEO Audit score tells you what the engines can parse from your site; the prompt set tells you what they actually say about you.
Entity clarity is how confident an AI engine is that it has identified the right firm. The audit checks five literal surfaces: the page title tag, the og:site_name meta tag, the og:title meta tag, the meta description, and the JSON-LD schema name field. All five must contain the firm's legal name as a substring. Missing even one surface can drop the score by more than five points. The most common failure is a page title that reads "Home" without the firm name, or a meta description that describes the practice area without naming the firm. A firm can have beautiful branding and still score High gap on entity clarity if the metadata is wrong.
Vertical-specific schema maps the firm's profession to types AI engines have strong training signal for. Law firms: LegalService and Attorney. Medical practices: Physician and MedicalBusiness. Wealth managers and RIAs: FinancialService. Luxury real estate brokerages: RealEstateAgent. These types tell the engine what kind of professional firm this is, which increases citation confidence for specialty queries like "best estate planning attorney in Miami" or "concierge doctor Coral Gables." Using only the generic Organization and LocalBusiness types in a regulated vertical leaves the specialty query surface uncovered.
Yes. Enter any publicly accessible domain. The audit fetches the homepage and inspects what any AI engine would see. Running it on a key competitor before a new-client pitch gives you a concrete on-page comparison: where your prospective client's site stands vs. the competitor that currently shows up when their prospects ask ChatGPT for a recommendation.
The free preview completes in 30 to 60 seconds. The system fetches the firm's homepage, parses the JSON-LD schema, checks the five entity surfaces, counts FAQ Question nodes, and runs the scoring formula. The written findings in the full report take a few additional seconds. The findings call with Brandon is a separate 15-minute booking, typically scheduled within 1 to 2 business days of the unlock.
A low score is a roadmap, not a verdict. Invisible and Emerging firms share a common pattern: the on-page work (entity clarity and schema) is undone, which is code-level work that typically ships in 1 to 2 weeks. That alone moves most firms from Invisible or Emerging to Discoverable. The next sprint (FAQ content expansion on service pages to 15-plus entries with specificity markers: named regulations, dollar anchors, firm-size patterns) typically crosses the Discoverable-to-AI-Native threshold. The remaining gap at AI-Native is editorial authority: directory profiles and bylined content, which takes one to two quarters. The 90-day remediation roadmap in the full report sequences these in the right order.
Any professional-services firm. The seven-area rubric applies universally. The vertical-specific signals area calibrates to whichever industry you select: law (LegalService, Avvo, Florida Bar profile), medical (Physician, Healthgrades, Vitals), wealth management (FinancialService, SEC IAPD, FINRA BrokerCheck, Forbes Finance Council), luxury real estate (RealEstateAgent, Mansion Global, Miami Association of Realtors), accounting, consulting, architecture, and others. The schema blueprint and FAQ content in the full report are also written for your vertical specifically.
